Multilingual Sign Language Recognition
This Blended Intensive Programme explores the development of AI-powered systems for multilingual sign language recognition and translation between spoken languages and various sign languages. During the virtual phase, students will gain foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence, computer vision, sign language processing, and inclusive communication technologies. In the physical week, international teams will design and implement a functional prototype capable of translating spoken language into sign language and vice versa. The programme combines technical innovation, intercultural collaboration, and social impact to advance accessible communication solutions.
Programme
The programme combines a short virtual component with an intensive on‑site week in St. Pölten taking place during 10-14 May 2027.
